Patrick has spent his professional years in a variety of creative fields beginning his career as an actor and singer, which eventually led him to designing costumes for stage and screen. Costuming credits include more than 50 productions and work with celebrities such as Liza Minnelli and Jane Seymour.
An artist and illustrator since childhood, Patrick works in many mediums. When he sits down to "doodle" at the drawing board, he never knows what one of his designs might become. But, whether it's designing quilts, wearable art, stationery products, or home decor, he enjoys creating it all.
He is probably most well known for his very successful and long-running collections of fabrics that include his trademark marbleized solids which have been trendsetters in the industry. He also enjoys creating his whimsical and often humorous illustrations for conversational and novelty
prints. Patrick's quilts, crafts, clothing, and home decorating accessories have appeared in such distinguished magazines as Better Homes & Gardens, American Patchwork and Quilting, Country Crafts, Christmas Ideas, Halloween Tricks & Treats, and many more. He has also written books on quilting and crafting for C&T Publishing and Sterling Publishing and has appeared on several television programs including The Carol Duvall Show, Simply Quilts, Martha’s Sewing Room, and America Sews.
Patrick is happy to have found a new and exciting home at Robert Kaufman Fabrics for some of his latest fabric designs.
