Darlene Zimmerman is a beloved quilter, designer, and textile historian known for her timeless 1930s-inspired fabrics. With a lifelong passion for vintage quilts and classic prints, she brings history to life through designs that feel both nostalgic and fresh.

Drawing from her extensive collection of antique quilts and historic textiles, Darlene studies the colors, motifs, and charm of Depression-era fabrics. Her work captures the cheerful spirit of the 1930s while offering today’s quilters designs that are easy to use, mix, and love. Her reproduction collections, including her well-known “Granny” lines developed with Chanteclaire Fabrics, have been favorites among quilters who appreciate traditional style and enduring design.

Darlene’s partnership with Robert Kaufman Fabrics began with collections such as Little Darlings, Clothesline Prints, and Prima Cotton Solids, further expanding her reach to a new generation of makers. Beyond fabric design, she has shared her expertise through books, patterns, tools, and teaching. Her quilting tools for EZ Quilting by Wrights include the Companion Angle, Tri-Recs, Flip-n-Set, Easy Dresden, and more, along with a range of specialty templates.
