From her earliest memories of the visiting art museums as a toddler to later travels to places as varied as Tibet, Tuscany, Japan, or the Australian outback, Peggy Toole had always been enchanted and inspired by the romance of foreign and by-gone cultures. Though trained at Washington University and University of Michigan as a classical figure painter and printmaker, she soon found herself attracted to more decorative styles of art which incorporated brilliant color and bold shape with ornate surface design or texture.
Peggy passed away in December 2016. She is dearly missed, but her vast library of artwork will continue to be incorporated into our fabric catalog. Her memory and legacy will live on for years and years to come through these fabrics and the heart-filled projects and quilts created with them.
